Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a blood derivative that stimulates the prodcution of collagen, elastin and epidermal tissue. It is used to achieve firmer, brighter and better quality skin.

What happens during the procedure?
The treatment consists of taking a blood sample from the patient, this is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets.
after cleaning and preparing the area a local anaesthetic is applied. Once the plasma has been extracted, it is re-injected back in to the desired areas using multiple injections in the form of mesotherapy.
The treatment takes around 45 minutes including numbing time.
What are the side effects or risks
There are very few risks associated with PRP because your own blood is used to do the procedure. However, occasionally some mild side effects can occur, including:
What happens after the treatment?
It is advised to apply arnica cream to prevent small papules appearing in the areas injected on the neck and neckline area, to lightly massage with finger tips in areas where the skin maybe more delicate.
On the day of treatment , it is advised not to sunbathe or apply creams to the skin. it is also not advisable to go to a sauna or gym directly after treatment.
